Try to get credit card number for a "winning a trip"

I entered an internet draw for a trip to universal studios on "fashion wars" to earn extra points for my game. I received a telephone call 2 days later saying that I won the trip which included 3 days/2 nights at orlando, 3 days/2 nights in daytona beach, 5 days in cancun mexico, 2 days admission to universal studios, and $500 prized package for meals. All I needed to do was pay $249 per adult to receive the confirmation number for this trip. The said it was the way universal studios did promotions / advertising instead of spending money on billboards.

It sounded like a time share gimmick but the operator insisted we didn't have to attend any session. My husband wanted to look them up on the internet and was given the www.exploreuniversal.com website. Being a computer geek, he looked up the history of the website and found that it was not even a month old. This website did not show up when "exploreuniversal" was googled. They said they have been around for 10 years yet the website was just created Jan 15. We became very suspicious when they kept asking for our credit card number so we could access their site. I asked for their phone number so I could call back. I wanted to confirm this company with universal studios. They refused to give one to me and after hung up the phone I tried to get the phone number that just called me and it was blocked.

This is obviously a scam and everyone should beware of this company. The operator even went so far as to say that if we thought they misrepresented any part of the offer after purchasing, our credit card company would take care of reimbursing us! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER!
