Steal toll charge bill

The NTTA has gone nuts. They decided last week to start double charging me, and several other customers on tolls. And the way they've gone about it is very sneaky, and very obviously NOT an accident. They're playing the ol' "Let's steal peoples' money and bet that at least a percentage of them won't even notice!" game.

Here's how they do it. As I said, I have a TollTag, and they've been charging it normally. About $40.00 per month, give or take. It automatically comes out of my account. I NEVER receive a bill. Then, the other day, I get a BILL from them with a photo of my license plate stating "A vehicle registered under your name has passed through the following toll plazas. Please pay the amount shown." It listed 10-15 locations, and their respective prices, totaling to roughly $12.00. I'm like, "WTF?! I have a TollTag!" My online TollTag account even SHOWS those transactions, and obviously they have my vehicle info (license number) on file!

I blew it off assuming that it must be a glitch in their system. But to my utter horror, a few days later, I got an ADDITIONAL bill... This time with a $25.00 FINE for EACH toll plaza I passed through totaling to (get ready) $427.00. After waiting 17 minutes on hold, I get through to an NTTA rep on the phone, and they're like, "Oopsie... Yeah, we've been having computer issues. We've been receiving calls all day about this same problem. We're sorry Mr. Chappel."

They're counting on people to just pay the bill. They are VERY quick to report you to a collection agency if you don't. The worst part of this is that I can't just stop doing business with them... You can't travel anywhere in Northern Dallas/Collin county without using toll roads.
