Fraudulent business ripped off and scammed

I am not sure if this comes under the heading described, but here goes anyway.

I was checking my credit card statement online as I do every time I pay bills. I found a charge to "Simple Escapes" in PA that I do not remember authorizing on any day, much less on 2-26-03.

I call the company and after wading through several attempts at sales pitches, I get a claim that Domestications, Inc authorized this payment. I told them to cancel the membership and refund my money as I had NOT wanted this and had NOT authorized this. I also demanded to speak with a Supervisior.

After 5 minuts on hold, the call "drops." I attempt to call back, but the phone tree that utilizes a phone number for identification routes me to a message that my membership has been cancelled and to call a number if I want to re-new said membership. There are no options for reaching a live person.

I am going to dispute the charge, but have no idea how much good it will do. I was never told (other than the generic message on the phone tree) that I was going to receive any kind of refund.
