Delta Airlines Atlanta Baggage Handling
Delta concern with handicapped? Destroying a scooter, refusing to fix it?

I traveled from Appleaton Wisconsin, to Washington Dulles, unfortunately we had to go through the Atlanta baggage handling, where my personal scooter (I have Rhumatoid Arthritis, and cannot walk long distances) was apparantly dropped off of something. When the Baggage handler in Atlanta turned the scooter back over to me, he just handed me the key, and TOOK OFF out of there, with a huge GRIN on his face, before I could realize that the key was just the fob, and the actual key was broken off in the ignition. He ran back to the other handlers, who were watching what transpired. I think that the scooter was dropped off of the ramp, and judging from the way that the others were watching him turn it over, I'm not sure that it wasn't part of a amusement amongst themselves. The key was broken OFF in the ignition, and the entire front panel/battery was gouged and hunks out of it. The seat is all scarred up, and the soft cushioned handles are torn almost off. Delta says that their only responsability is to replace the KEY. This is not my first problem with checked items through ATLANTA. Even the clerk at Dulles said that the vast majority of their complaints are a result of ATLANTA BAGGAGE HANDLERS. If they have so much trouble with them, then why don't they CLEAN HOUSE.
