Mt. Laurel Resort &Spa
Timeshare Marketing lies

Traveling & Tourism

If you get a call to come listen to an offer for a time share from a company in Pennsylvania selling time shares in Laurel Mountain resort and spa and they offer you money in gas ($300) and a 3 night vacation in any Marriott resort in the country and a 5 piece set of luggage and dinner for 2 at 3 restaurants of your choice from known national chain restaurants… It’s ALL a lie. DON’T GO!
The restaurant meal is NOT dinner for 2, it’s $30 towards dinner.

The gas which I called to confirm BEFORE I drove 3 hours to this place and asked if I would get a coupon of $300 to use as I please, I was told “absolutely”. Actually, they want me to mail them $100 worth of receipts EVERY MONTH and only then, will I get a voucher for $25. Wow, so they will keep me on a budget for the next year and have me mailing them receipts and ONLY going to ONE gas station just to get their lousy $25 a month! Not how they said it will work! And lastly of course is the lovely Marriott vacation, which again I tried to confirm before I went that it has NO BLACKOUT DATES, and is for ANY Marriott, and I can go ANY TIME, well, you guessed, not what they’re offering. If you have time for headaches and hassles, incase you don’t have enough in life than maybe you would try. Again, not what they promised. They also tell you in advance that you have to send in $75 when you book the vacation which you will be reimbursed. I called BEFORE to find out if the $75 will be sent to the Marriott because I trust the Marriott and wouldn’t have a problem doing that. They assured me that in fact it IS who I will be sending the “refundable deposit to” well, what do you know… The same company who lied to me about everything else is the same company who expect me to now send them $75. Not to the marriott. Do people actually think we are that dumb?! Do they think now in my wildest dreams I would just give them $75?
(I am at a loss of about $65 for the cost of the gas it cost me round trip. I will keep my losses at that.) Any ways, I don’t think I could find an open day in a place of their choice for me to go. I think I’ll stick to my own travel plans. My partner and I took a day to drive to Mount Laurel resort in PA, in the Pocono’s to hear about time shares through this company which by the way was VERY secretive about the name and who they actually represent. The name is “Vacation Charter” and have no worries if you think you’re being scammed because the owner has been doing this for 30 years and HE is a Billionaire. I am not surprised. I’m sure he is. Be ware people. You won’t even get the gifts you think you’re getting! Oh, I’m sorry I forget the to tell you about the luggage… maybe I should leave that part out. It’s too funny, or sad. Definitely a good lesson! Bye the way, Mount Laurel resort and spa is a place that smells and looks like an old age home. If I was 99 and needed a place to go, I think this place could be nice.
These people should not be allowed by law to get away with this. IF they tell the truth and I still decided to go, that’s fine but I happen to be a very cautious consumer and DID call in advance to ask specific questions and even while I was there they continued to lie. Luckily we didn’t fall in the trap of buying a timeshare from them.
