I also bought TripMate insurance convinced that if something happens I'll be protected. Our mom got ill and was in intensivecare on June 10th. I named the travel broker and terminated my journey on July 12th convinced that my mom would require some treatment after she was launched type the hospital. Well she died on June 14th. As though it was not devestating enough! I submitted a state using the insurance provider. I submitted the info they required in the Doctor managing my mom, a duplicate of her obituary, the itemized record in the furneral home, a duplicate of her death certification, a duplicate of the COMPENSATED ENTIRELY $5300) bill in the travel agent. What more might they ask for. I obtained some postcards for tripmate declaring they're focusing on my state. After I popped the notice I almost handed on the ground! They delivered me $1000.00 for several 4 people traveling. Don"t misunderstand me I had been not anticipating my complete $5300 returned but seriously. They stated it had been because of "journey provider reimbursement" what-ever which means is just why my refund was so reduced. I inquired basically had the traditional 12 months time period to make use of the currently taken care of flight seats no body might reply that.
