Traveling & Tourism

I made my appt. To see a presentation and receive a free pair of airline tickets. It was not what the telemarketer told me&I was expected to buy something at the presentation.

The free airline tickets I received had a $130.00 fee to redeem. I paid it and was disqualified, even though I sent a bank check and certified the mail ON TIME as the redemption certificate specified.

They had the audacity to cash my check for $130.00 and send a check back to me. I guess they were hoping I'd lose it. I guess they received it, even though they said it was not certified, which it was.

I bought a small $3500 program instead of the one they wanted me to buy for $10,000. I tried to make some reservations the next day and found that it was of no use to me. I also sat with a manager who no longer works there and she agreed that I was not a good match for their services.

I cancelled within 72 hours. I made sure I got a written letter of confirmation from the manager who no longer works there. I hope she is in a better place because she WAS honest; her name was Carla.

After reading all of the dissatisfied letters here on this site, I would be careful to cancel on time (72 hours in Arizona) and do everything on your credit card so you can have recourse.

Certainly FREE isn't FREE at Global Travel! I will likely buy some qualifying tickets and take them to small claims court to reimburse me.
