In July, my family and I booked accomadations at the Grand Floridian at Disney World in Florida. This was to include room, tickets and meals plus snacks for each family member. On the night before we were to leave, we were evicted by a "security manager" Christine and John. The complaint was that our 6 week old baby was crying. This was reported to the front desk prior to 10:00pm. "John" then evicted us prior to midnight before my husband could get the front desk to retrieve our vehicle to get gas medicine. This was in the privacy of our room which was at the end of the hallway. We were not allowed to check out and check our room rates and reconcile our room fees and meal tickets. This was with 4 children and no where to go. We were told to sit in the lobby or in the car with our children. We finally left the premises at about 2 in the morning after the Manager Raphael call for an upper manager to assist us. I recieved a collection notice from a secondary collection department for apx. $800.00 in fees and a notice that we had stayed in our room the following day as we did not check out. After contacting the company, I recieved a phone call from a person who stated that Disney would not refund our money and would press collection against us as they had interviewed Christine and John and both stated we were evicted due to cursing and loud behavior in the hallways. We had just come in from being at the park and had ordered food. We were not in the hallway nor cursing. They were lying to cover their mistakes. I want my money back. Now with the collection agency... I want to sue them for making this a "year of nightmares" Especially since I had to drive 8 hours with 4 "now they were crying" kids, one PO'd husband and no where to stay or eat at that time of night. Do not stay at the grand floridian if you have kids!!!
