Traveling & Tourism

My wife and I visited them during lunch time and we were met by Thaddeus who called us "king and Queen" It went down hill from there as they began to promise us a a program whereby we payed $10,000 today for 20 1 week vacations in the future. These would be at any one of the thousands of resorts world wide. We recognized several things that did not add up.
(1) Their offices were rather shoddy
(2) They would not tell us who the owners of the company were
(3) Their catalog of properties were dated and old
(4) The business model didn't add up. 20 weeks anywhere with ocean view GUARANTEED! All for $499/7-days stay.

Despite heavy pressure we opted not to buy at which point the sales manager dismissed us rather rudely and told us to get our prize on the way out. It turns out that our complementary 2 air ticket on any major carrier came with a lot of caveats. For your convenience I have outlined these below as they certainly wont share them with you prior to you attending the sales pitch.

(1) fill a form out within 30-days of your visit.
(2) attach a copy a photo id acceptable to the US Safety Administrator for each traveler. (There is no such person nor government entity.)
(3) send this by certified mail only
(4) incorrect or incomplete forms invalidate the offer
(5) They then send you a Travel Request Form which you must return with a US Postal Money Order for $100, $50 a piece for for my wife and meto presumably cover taxes, government fees, and get this "surcharges and other fees". If these fees are more than $50per person they will invoice you and you must pay within 14-days.
(6) on your request form you must select two set of dates at-least 30-days apart from each other
(7) Sixty days advance notice is required.
(8) minimum of a four-night stay is required
(9) Travel must be completed within one year
(10) All requests are subject to availability, and flight schedules and major airports are at the discretion of Certs, Inc.
(11) Avoid major holidays
(12) I have no idea what is meant by this one - No copies, duplicates or certifications may be given to the consumer. Only the original form is valid. So much for the flexibility of e-tickets that ALL airlines use now.
(13) All communications must be made in writing
(14) No exceptions to these terms and conditions can be made for any reason.
(15) No oral representation may be amend the terms thereof.

Wow. Needless to say we didn't bother following up on their "kind" offer. Fortunately we only wasted 2 hours of our life with these folks and not any money.
