Ft. Lauderdale/Orlando Ramada Plaza Resorts Misrepresentation, RIPOFF, HORRIBLE, they lied! Florida

Ramada Plaza Resorts is a joke. Yes, we fell for the advertisement in the mail, my husband called, listend the the pitch and bought into the "only $698 per person to go on this fabulous trip!" b*s. We asked him what the catch was and he promised us there was none and there was NO timeshare tour!

We embarked on our trip, upgraded our car through Budget (thank God, otherwise our 9 days of luggage wouldn't fit in the little Geo Metro) and we headed off to Ft Lauderdale. After a long flight and drive, we ended up in the Welcome Center in a hotel that was NOT welcoming at all. It was a horrible looking hotel! He said "oh, don't worry, you're staying in a much nicer hotel... You upgraded!" so we went on the "resort".

After driving up to the "resort" we thought that it looked much nicer than the first. We checked in and then he pulled out a map and proceeded to tell us to get BACK into our car and go down the road to our room in another building. We weren't allowed to stay in the nice one because "well, you're not an owner".

The room sucked. There was only one bed and my kids and to sleep on the pull out couch which had no support in the middle. Each day we woke up, there were ants all over the place! After two hours and three salesmen later, we finally got our stupid vouchers for the cruise.

Thank God again, that we upgraded our cruise! That was the only good part of our trip. Carnival pulled through and gave us a good time. But our trip up to Orlando would prove that Ramada totally SUCKS.

When we finally got there, we found out that the hotel is walking distance to a prison, the hotel AC was broke on a day that was over 90 degrees and over 90% humidity. There was only ONE guy in the welcome center and everyone in line was in a bad mood from the horrible experience thus far!

Our room wasn't ready and we were told to wait in the pool and cool off. We proceeded to do that, but it wasn't even 10 minutes in the pool and my husband stepped on a piece of crap in the pool!

No one would come to take it out! He had to do it himself, the pool guy claimed he didn't know English and played dumb, but I said "Ca Ca is the international word for POOP!" whatever! Finally got our room, had to drag our luggage up the STAIRS because the elevators sucked and they didn't bring us to our floor without having to go up stairs or down stairs!

The faucet wasn't attached to the sink, the beds sank in the middle, the rooms stunk to high heaven, the neighborhood thugs were hopping the fences and going in the pool... Then come to find out that my cousins told me that we were SMACK in the middle of the worst ghetto in Orlando! Prostitutes during the day, drug deals, shootings, etc. You name it!

This is a HORRID, horrible horrible hotel and should be sued! Everyone should get their money back because this was by FAR the worst vacation we've ever had!

What a joke! The brochure and dvd they sent was a TOTAL joke! They gave us NOTHING that they promised!!!
