I sent a review and complaint about a Hotel property to TripAdvisor.com. The review was rejected with a multiple-choice response but no indication as to which was the actual reason for rejecting the review. The rejection is sent from a group mailbox. Caveat emptor.

My complaint consisted of email between a hotel franchiser and myself with names and email addresses redacted. The emails contained no threatening, violent, indecent or vulgar language and clearly stated that I would be posting the content after the initial unsatisfactory response. The franchiser did not object. The report was clear and factual. A simple cut-and-paste with redactions to protect individual identities.

For reasons that TripAdvisor.com doesn't care to share with anyone they will not accept a bad report about this property. How many others are anonymously rejected? TripAdvisor.com would do well to take advice from usacomplaints.com. Meanwhile consumers should know that they might not be getting the full story from TripAdvisor.com.
