Granthix And Royal Holiday
Thousands charged by Royal Holiday but no evidence that Granthix exists Ripoff

Royal Holiday, a resort company in Mexico, sold me a vacation package in June '07. Part of my package is $13,100 that I am paying for a "certificate" from a company called Granthix Capital, which is supposedly registered in the Cayman Islands. They also claim to have a Florida address.

This "certificate" is supposed to represent a well-paying investment lasting 30 years. But after returning to the U.S. I started looking for information about Granthix and can find nothing. Besides a nearly meaningless website and Royal Holiday claims, I have no evidence that this company even exists. My internet searches have been fruitless. No one answers email or phone calls at the contacts given on the Granthix site. Royal Holiday, which sold me this "certificate, " has so far been unable to give me any information either.in fact, when I asked for details, they sent a request for information to Granthix, at the email address on their website! Even if Granthix exists in some form, I have no evidence that they do anything that Royal Holiday says they do, or that I will see my money again.

If somebody out there has information about Granthix that I have not been able to discover, I hope you will post it on this site.

With perfect hindsight, and even without the Granthix matter, I do not recommend doing business with Royal Holiday. Their resorts are excellent, and if you stay there independently as a guest, you'll most probably like it. Just don't buy anything, and do decline ANY offer to go to a presentation or talk to a Royal Holiday salesperson. You'll spend hours, pressure tactics will be used to get you to buy a vacation package, and the salesmen are consistently deceptive in presenting the product.

If you do get sucked in, study your purchase carefully right away. You have FIVE DAYS in Mexico in which to back out of a contract with no penalty. Your salesman will not tell you this, and indeed may well tell you that you cannot back out. This is false. Study your materials carefully, and don't hesitate to back out if you believe you have not been treated fairly.
