Terrible to no customer service, HOLD TIMES HOURS LONG, just awful ripoff

I recently purchased tickets through www.cheaptickets.com and knew right away that something was fishy with the transaction after pressing the "buy tickets" button. The itinerary I had purchased changed as soon as I bought it and the new itinerary did not match my family's travel plans at all. I thought to myself, oh no problem, I am sure this can easily be remedied by calling the company.

10 hours of hold time and 4 hours of quote unquote customer service later, I realized that I might be out of luck. I decided to try one last time to fix the situation or should I say, shituation?

The 4th supervisor I talked to (always ask for the supervisor, never deal with "customer service") finally did something worthwhile for my situation. She relinquished the control of the ticket to the airline so that the airline could fix the mistakes cheaptickets made without any penalties.

At this point I started to do the chicken dance and sing strange obscenities of pure happiness. I knew the airline would not give me the run-around, well at least not for very long and definitely not for almost 20 hours. And I was right. The airline then had control of the ticket and was more than willing to fix the problem. Poof, problem solved.

My advice? Do NOT waste your time on hold. Ask for a supervisor right away before even trying to explain it. Seriously, then when you reach a supervisor. See if the supervisor can help you and if not ask the supervisor to relinquish the ticket to the airline so that you can do something yourself. The supervisor will then write into the system that the ticket is now under control of the airline you are traveling with instead of cheaptickets. You then my take a deep breath, regain sanity, and NEVER purchase tickets through www.cheaptickets.com again.
