On 14 October I purchased a round-trip airline ticket from Washington to Amsterdam through Cheapseats.com/One Travel for $3,455.55. A week before I was scheduled to travel, I tore my retina and had to have emergency surgery. As the doctor advised me not to travel, I called Cheapseats and cancelled my reservation and was informed that I had one year (until 14 October) to use the value of the ticket to get a new ticket. This was later confirmed by another customer service representative (Enika) on 23 February.
Later, I attempted to redeeem that ticket and made reservations with a woman named Josie. However, I was later informed by Edgar that I had only 90 days to use the value of the ticket and that the voucher no longer had any value. I have asked Cheapseats to honor their previous commitment or refund the value of the ticket. They have refused to do either.
As such, One Travel is in violation of NRS 598.0903, et seq, and is guilty of practicing deceptive trade. One Travel made false statements and misrepresented their service by reducing the period I had to redeem the value of the ticket and thereby cheated me out of a ticket.
