I took the British Airways ticket from World Travel Experts, a Maryland based company. The ticket details were as under:

Original Date of Travel and return for one ticket:

1. Adult RoundTrimp IAD Delhi IAD (06/16 07/23)
2. Adult One Way IAD Delhi (06/16)
3. Child One Way IAD Delhi (06/16)
4.infant One Way IAD Delhi (06/16)

For the above tickets, one roundtrip ticket and the rest three tickets one way. I paid to them 3377.00 by check dated 04/19. He verbally told me the ticket price and said that he will send me the invoice.

Afterwards, I rescheduled to 07/30 for departure (and return for myself ONLY as rest of the tickets were one way). World Expert told me as you have taken the ticket during the high season so for any change in the ticket you just have to pay $50 for adult and child ticket and there will not be any charge for the infant ticket. But by 07/30/06 my infant daughter completed 2 years. Hence I requested World Expert to upgrade the infant ticket to child.

Later on Mr. Gupta of World Travel Expert called me and said that Infant ticket will not be upgraded to Child and so we need to get a fresh Child ticket (for the infant who become child. I questioned why it can't be upgraded to child when we already have confirmed ticket? He said that the main travel agent is not agreeing on that. Finally I said okay just go ahead and get the new ticket.

After making all caculation, he (Mr. Gupta) told me to deposit USD $823.00 to his account at Chevy Chase a/c#.. 4865 as penalty for the three ticket (2 Adult 1 child) plus the extra charges for the new child ticket. I requested him to send me the invoice. I deposited the amount on 07/24/06 to the Chevy Chase. But I did not get any invoice in spite of my repeated requests. He gave me the reference number of all the ticket.

I called British Airways for verification of the tickets. All tickets were fine but the one which has been upgraded to Child was not confirmed and there was no ticket number assigned to it. The British Airways lady told me that you need to talk to your travel agent.

Afterwards, I called the World Expert Travel. Mr. Gupta told me that I could not get the infant ticket price adjusted in the new child ticket. Hence please deposit another USD 400.00 in the bank (In CASH) so that I can see the deposit immediately and will give you another reference number. He mentioned that you will get your refund of Infant child ticket from the British Airways directly. I left with no option but to deposit the money on 07/29/06, a day before I was leaving. The fact is that I have not been given any invoices in spite of my repeated requests.

On 11/15, I received the refund of $171.00 for my infant ticket. Before getting this check he send me a email on 11/8 stating the charges. I would therefore request you to kindly look into it. The $400.00 minus the infant ticket refund, which he charged on 07/29/06 should be refunded to me. I appreciate your interventions.
