Clubhotel
Ripoff. $165 useless membership

Traveling & Tourism

I received a phone call May. The young lady offered an overnight stay at the Dallas Fairmont and a cocktail hour with food for 25 people. My cost? $165.00. I accepted the offer and paid with my check card. The same day I received an e-mail confirmation. Three days later, receive another e-mail. Neither e-mail states a package will be sent. Neither e-mail specfically addresses the package I purchased or that certificates are being mailed.

In June I am ill. July, I am in the hospital for a kidney transplant.

Finally, I have recovered, cleared by the doctor to travel. I send an e-mail asking how to redeem my purchase. That is when I find out, I need certificates. I ask about the certificates. They say they sent it June. I advise never received any package or membership card. They send me back an e-mail with the subject line: Fraud!

They did not send the package certified mail, state no mail was returned and refuse to replace the certificates. This is a BIG RIPOFF!

I think it would be easy to verify if my certificates were used, to cancel them and re-issue. But, evidently, that is not so. They are standing by the belief that mail was not returned so I must have it.

I have repeatedly stated: if I have the original e-mail. It does not state a package will be sent. Nor does it state that a certificate is required to redeem your package.

Beware these people.
