San Diego Unaccommodating, rude personnel, dirty room Ripoff

This so-called "hotel" is really a motel charging hotel rates. The carpet was wet, the bathroom was dirty, the blankets had stains on them, there were flies in the room and the bathroom sink backed up everytime the facet was on.

When I complained to the front desk clerk, he encouraged me to check out and find another "hotel." My limited stay and full schedule did not permit me to start looking for another hotel in a city I was unfamiliar with. The next day I asked for the manager who came out from behind a curtain (yes, a curtain) looking like a bull-dog who was ready to attack. She also suggested that I check out and find another "hotel."

After I got home, I didn't notice at the time of check-out that they had tacked on charges for an in-room safe that I did not use!
