Traveling & Tourism

I was contacted by phone in 2003 by Travel Value Alerts with the wonderful deal of 2 free tickets for joining their travel club (vacation offers in e-mail! Where you could redeem your tickets!) for the low price of $149. After much haggling i accepted and finally received my vouchers which i filled out and returned with my $30 processing fee (they didn't say up front the vouchers were through another company?) where i was instructed, Travel Value Incentives (which i found out was a branch of TVA)

Anyway received no response... After numerous phone calls i was finally connected to someone that apologized several times for all the confision and explained how the TVI had gone out of business and they had contracted with another comapany to fulfill their obligations and sent me 4 free vouchers worth $2000. These of course had to go to another company Two Percent Solutions to be redeemed (let em say at this point they got smarter, because the only contact info for them was an e-mail address!)

At this time i figured i would talk to someone before sending any more money (which of course i never received a refund from the first ones) after numerous tries to no avail in getting a response i went back to TVA which no longer answered a phone or returned emails.

At this point i filed a report with the BBB in Newport Beach, CA, they contacted me back about a month later and had had no response from TVA (Now TravelMaximus which BBB did find out). I responded back to them with my displeasure at their lack of help... They then responded that they had had numerous complaints and were recommending it to the D.A. I did receive a call from the D.A. For Newport Beach about a month later asking question and informed me they were pursuing indictments and had also tracked them to Az. And N.M. And were filing whatever in the other states. As of this time i have never heard anything more from the D.A., or TVA (at least they haven't tried charging me anything for the last 18 months) If anyone has any further updates i would love to hear them.
