Suzy Mayer Misrepresented caribbean cruise purchase inducement

My wife and I were on our honeymoon in July and went to a timeshare tour. After our presentation we were not interested in buying a timeshare. At that point Suzy Mayer the sales manager lowered the price and threw in a cruise that was 4 nights/5days and you could take up to 4 people on it.

The offer was not included in the contract, but written notice was given to us promising a cruise voucher within a few weeks. All the letter explained was that we were getting a cruise but it did not say for how long or how many people.

When the voucher arrived it was for 2 people and three nights. Not what we would have settled for, and if the original letter had stated what the cruise really was, I would have either not signed or revoked the contract on the spot.

At first we thought this must have been a mistake. Suzy seemed like a nice person and doing such a thing was fraud - a criminal and civil violation. We called and left message after message. She didn't even have the courtesy to return our phone calls.

We were finally told by the lady who handles the real estate end of it that there was no such thing as a 5 day, 4 person cruise. Boy were we wrong, at the time of the sale Suzy was all hugs and backrubs now she won't even return our calls. The worst part it is was that we didn't even know we got ripped off until after the 10 day timeshare cancellation period had ended. I am now fighting to get every cent of my money back.

I have filed a complaint with the Florida professional standards office and reported this violation and have been waiting for a response to what they have determined. Whether they can prove fraud is one thing, but if they continue to allow Oak Plantation to give out "Vague" inducement letters is something else.

From a business end, this is the sleaziest thing I have ever had done to me. It is more about the principle than the money. One way or another I hope to find Justice.
