Holiday Inn
Ripoff advertises free internet access, but has none and will not refund

Traveling & Tourism

My family and I had been traveling through Texas for several days. We had been staying at hotel/motels such as Super 8, Travelodge, etc. When we came to Texarkana we decided to stay at the Holiday as in my mind it was known as "top of the line" in hotels, and we wanted a trouble no hassel stay.

I had important business to do on the internet that night and was confident that Holiday would meet my needs for internet access as I had no troubles with internet access at lesser hotels.

To my dismay there was no internet access. We were not told this at the front desk when checking in. When we called the front desk we were told that it would be fixed shortly. It was never fixed even after several calls to the front desk.

In the morning we asked for an adjustment to the bill. We were told they would give us about a two dollar adjustment for our inconvenience.

This is after the Hotel manager did not believe that I was telling him the truth about no internet access. I asked him to go to the room and check himself. He in fact did bring his laptop to the room and he to could not get connected.

The whole ordeal cost me alot of lost business and time wasted talking to management and going up to the room to have the manager see if his computer worked. When it did not he offered a couple of bucks of the room.

I refused!!
