Traveling & Tourism

In May my company, Double A Trailer Sales, Inc. Received a fax from Dynasty International offering a vacation package supposedly turned back in by either Federal Express or United Parcel Service. These packages were supposedly originally purchased by one of the above firms for their employees and they did not use them all so they offered them at a discount through Dynasty International to be able to recover some of their original costs. I purchased one of these pakages for $800.00 and was supposed to receive 2 7 day 6 night cruises to the Bahamas aboard The Discovery Sun cruise ship. Along with this was a package offering me a 6 day 5 night trip to Cancun Mexico that I was to make reservations through Travelcom in Orlando FL.
Also enclosed were 2 $50.00 discount airline tickets and 2 more "fabulous accommodations package" for 2 for 3 day/2 night trips to various locations in eastern, central and western United States and 3 Locations in Mexico.

When I attempted to confirm the Bahamas trip in December I was told nothing was available at that time but I had until 19 May to take the trips.

Today, 12 March when I attempted to confirm accommodations for the Cancun trip I was "pleasantly informed that the accommodation had been cancelled last week 1 March. I informed Lisa, Customer Service with Travelcom, 5850 Lake Hurst Suite 150-30, Orlando FL 32817, Phone 407-351-1699 9am05pm EST, that I had been advised in December that these arrangements were guaranteed through 19 May. At that time she checked again and "found" that my package indeed was valid until 19 May.

When I called bak to find out the address of Travelcom I could not contact Customer Service anymore but only received a voice saying "reservation" and putting me on hold indefinitely. Finally I was able to leave a callback number but so far I have waited over 2 hours and still no callback.

I hvae tried to check the Travelcom website www.travelcom.net only to find out that it cannot be found. I have also tried to contact the Dynasty International website, www dynastyint.com only to find oiut that the website doamin is available for purchase. What coincidences both websites are not available which does not surprise me since it appears both of these companies are ripping the customer off.
