Ramada Plaza Resorts
How I got a FULL REFUND

Traveling & Tourism

I put a down payment on this trip in November. I don't have a lot of money but the salesperson persuaded me into thinking this was a good deal (after saying no several times, I eventually made a down payment of $174).

I was going to give this trip to my friend as a wedding present but then I found the reports on this website and decided that is was a total scam. I felt stupid and I was ANGRY. Well, long story short, I GOT MY MONEY BACK!

*I do not know what the procedure is if you have already taken the trip. This is for people who have not taken the trip*

Granted, it may not seem like a lot of money (it is to me!) but I know other people that have gotten 698 dollars back. Here is what I did:

I sent a letter to Daniel Lambert (the leader of the scam and president of the company, I think) and made copies and sent it to the 6 people listed at the bottom of the letter. I made sure that I certified the letter that I sent to Mr. Lambert. I sent these letters the 14th of July and I got my money back yesterday (8th of August). BE PATIENT - you'll get a response!

Here is the letter that I used. Feel free to use it! Customize it to fit your situation! GOOD LUCK!

Re: full refund due to violation of florida's deceptive and unfair trade practices act

Dear Mr. Lambert:

Please refund my down payment of $XXX. XX for the vacation package I purchased from Ramada Plaza Resorts based on false and misleading advertising and statements. My package information is as follows:

- Reservation Number: XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Client Number: XXXXXXXXX
Issue Date: XX/XX/XX
Down Payment: $XXX. XX on XX/XX/XX via XXXXXXXXX

This letter is a formal demand letter for full refund of the above funds. Ramada Plaza Resorts has willfully and knowingly violated Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act by engaging in unfair methods of competition, unfair, unconscionable and deceptive trade practices, including, but not limited to, travel scams, and false or misleading advertising.

Ramada Plaza Resorts OFV/IM, LLC is in violation U.S. Postal Service Mail Fraud Laws since you chose to send your false and misleading advertising and propaganda via the U.S. Mail.

Complaints against Ramada Plaza Resorts, Charlton Held, Registered Agent, Ellen Wasserstrom, Registered Agent, Daniel Lambert, Manager, Robert Tantalo, Manager, and James Verrillo, Manager, have been filed with the following agencies:

Florida Division of Consumer Services
Florida Attorney General
United States Postal Service

If full refund is not received within 15 days of receipt of this letter, I am prepared to begin legal proceedings that include a class action lawsuit in the State of XXXXXXX.

I purchased this package after being promised a Spectacular Florida/Tropical Caribbean Cruise vacation package in return for my completion of a one-page survey evaluating the hotel and cruise accommodations at the conclusion of the vacation. The names Ramada, Carnival and Universal Orlando lead me to believe this was a quality vacation. I have since learned that my deluxe award-winning accommodations include two sub-standard hotels and a very old, poorly kept ship. The Internet is full of dissatisfied customers and governmental warnings and litigation. Before booking the vacation, I looked up the hotels on the Internet. Both looked nice. Upon searching the web for things to do in Fort Lauderdale, I found an incredible amount of negative publicity.

I contacted Ramada Plaza Resorts on XXXX XX, XXXX at X: XX to discuss a refund.

Any charges to my credit card will be refused. Also, this charge will be an Unauthorized Charge and will constitute Credit Card Fraud.

I have no intention of going away or letting this end until I have been fully justified. I may be reached by U.S. Mail ONLY. All correspondence must be in writing. Telephone calls will not be accepted!

You may credit my credit card or mail the refund to the address at the bottom of this letter.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth XXXXXXXXX
