Please STAY AWAY from Expedia as long as you might have to cancel your flight.
I had purchased a airplane ticket through Expedia. But I had to cancel it, and before I did, I asked Expedia about their cancellation policy. Expedia told me that I will get credits for the cost of the ticket, and will be able to use it to book something else for a year.
Months later, I tried use the credits but the airline rejected to accept the credits! Since then, I have been calling Expedia thousands times, explaining the same story every single time, and put on hold forever.
When I finally reached the manger, he finally admitted that there was a mistake on the part of Expedia and they will honor the credits. Great, finally, I thought. I got a case number that she can refer to when I am ready to book a ticket. I was happy that it was finally over.
BUT NO, it was not over. When I called Expedia again with the flight info in my hands, I again am put on hold for more than an hour. What? Seriously? Wow. Expedia. You are just AWFUL.
Very simple. Expedia will give you credits when you cancel a flight and will tell you - "you can use it like money when you book a ticket within a year." Then, you will have to call a thousand times and be put on hold for eternity just so that you can tell the entire story AGAIN.
So far, it has been outrageous. I am sure I am not the only one with the same problem. We should file a class action against Expedia for violation of contract, fraud, and misrepresentation.
