TRAVELATION is a scam travel agency

I am an experienced traveller who made the mistake of giving TRAVELATION a shot. Big mistake. I have since found out they are not BBB accredited and have had several complaints filed with the Calif AG. Google TRAVELATION scams for more sad stories. Mine is as follows: I booked a one way ticket from Berlin to Chicago in 2012 for $806. A little high, but acceptable. When I did not receive an email confirmation, I tried to contact TRAVELATION. After several unsuccessful attempts, I finally reached someone in India, who told me the address I submitted did not match my credit card (it did). I could either pay the new price of $1065 or a $200 cancellation fee for my "mistake". Nice. I paid the extra $230, later finding out from the airline the ticket price was only $806, as I had originally bought it for. Classic bait and switch. If you do not want to be ripped off, stick with the more established travel agencies such as orbitz or Travelocity. Happy travels!
