Rip-off They are trying to rip me off Canada

I sing a ballot to win a promotion They called me and they also send me two letters saying that my ballot has been selected for their promotion that I won $3500. Or a cruise to the grand Bahamas. When they called I didn't pickup the phone I have caller ID the number was the same as the letter, so I called them back the lady who respond the phone her name was Lyann. Lyann said CONGRATULATION you won a $3500. Or a cruise wich one do you want? I choose the $3500 I was so happy then she said in order to receive your $3500 you have to buy a vacation package I was about to buy it. Lyann said I have to send them a check or money order of $600. I said to her thats too much money then she said I could send them $300. I said ok then I asked again about the $3,500. She said when they receive my check then they would send the money I won. I belived this is a scam because they are not offerring me what they promised. I didn't send any money to them because I know I am going to get RIPOFF.
