We stayed at the Embassy suites hotel on November 12th and booked through Groupon for a $159 one night deal for 2 adults.
When we arrived we realized that we had forgotten the voucher at home and the front desk asked we needed it to access room, I asked why can't they print the voucher sent to me on my Email.
I called the toll free # for Embassy suites and they suggested we ask front desk to print it for us??? Any way we finally managed to get that done.

The problem started when we got to our room, it was located in the extreme right corner of the hotel where you would have to look at the falls from an angle and that too just the horseshoe falls. I called the front desk to change the room and we were told we couldn't.

I explained to her that at the time of booking we were informed that it was a fallview upgraded etc, I think that was very misleading.

The 2nd problem we encountered was when we went to the cocktail lounge and dinner,
There was an hour and half wait for dinner and there was no room in the lounge.
In speaking with people in the lounge we learnt that there was a $25 promotion on for exactly the same deal that we paid $159 plus parking and an extra $29 for guest room???

This did not make any sense at all that we had to compromise the quality of our stay for others who has lined up including the breakfast area in the morning and they paid only $25 and apparently occupied the rooms of choices.

We are frequent visitors to niagara falls and have stayed at the Embassy suites in the past but the service from the front desk was not acceptable period.

I work with a Law firm in Toronto and for this very reason I will advise my colleagues in caution and plan our family getaways in niagara elsewhere.
