Very dissatisfied with the level of warranty service offered by CrankBrothers on my EggBeater 3 Pedal. I have had Eggbeaters for sometime now, and the Spring broke. According to a Metals expert, the company who cast the metal spring made it to "HARD." This was in his expert opinion the reason the metal spring stressed and broke. According to Crank Brothers, they felt the EggBeater pedal needed to be taken care of better. It needed a yearly servicing for $20 shipping and handling, then the Spring would not have broken. When asked what they could do for me, they offered to UPGRADE me to the NEW Series of EggBeater 3 at $60 for the pair. This is the same upgrade any client can get, so it really didn't address my warranty issue. Nore did it address my loyalty as long time customer, I asked for something a little better. They said, well they could Warranty the Spring for $5 plus $9 Shipping and handling.
