Would not replace defective merchandise!

I ordered an airsoft gun and equipment for my son. When we received the equipment we followed the directions and charged the batteries one at a time on the smart charger purchased from them. We then installed one of the batteries into the gun and it started smoking. We immediately removed the battery and called the store.

May 31 - Called to report defective battery 5:42pm (Store closed for the day)

June 1 - Called again to report defective battery. 8:18am Told would ship battery and no charge for shipping.

June 14 - Called to follow-up since I had not received battery. Told would ship battery with no charge for shipping. Said I would get an email to confirm.

June 15 - Received email stating I would have to pay for battery but no cost for shipping. 12:46pm

June 15 - Called to inquire why all of a sudden a charge. Transferred and left on hold until call disconnected.

June 15- Called back regarding discrepancy between what was committed to and what was received. 1:10pm

Was told at this time that the battery was not defective and that the failure was due to my charging it on the carpeted floor. That is why I needed to pay for it. I explained that both batteries were charge the same way. The second battery worked fine. I challenged that claim. They basically said I'm sorry. Now I got irate and started yelling. I ordered a product, received a defective product and they wanted me to pay for it. They now offered to pay 50% and cover shipping. I demanded to speak to a supervisor. The woman said she was the supervisor. I demanded to speak th her boss. She said she would send an email to her manager and ask her to call. I received a call from the same woman later in the day. She now offered to pay for the battery but I would have to pay for shipping. I asked her why I should pay anything. I paid for a product and shipping (spent over $300 on the order) and received a defective product. They said sorry.

I told them I would warn everyone possible that dealing with Airsoft Megastore is a nightmare. They do not stand behind their products or their warranties. Their customer service depart and their Technical Assistance Departments will give you the runaround until they just plain wear you out. I guess hoping that you will go away. The employees lied to me on at least two occassions and then documented information contrary to what was told to be directly. We are only talking a battery in the a, ount of $19.95 plus shipping on an order of over $300.

Let the buyer beware of this store.
