Refused to send MCO/title

I purchased a Roteka 250cc Roadster Touring Limited Edition on 5/30/08. I, ofcourse immediatedly got my "Bill of Sale".

My bike was delivered to me on 6/17/08. But I had to call the shipper in order to find out when it was going to be delivered. When I called CMS all I got was answering services, and no returned calls, I wrote emails with no replys. If I would have had to have had help, I would have been up a creek. But delivery was in a timely manner, and the delivery man was extremely helpful, in helping me get my bike to my garage.

I prayed that the title would be in the paper work under the seat - no luck. I emailed Carrie on June 29 or 21 with the VIN number requesting my MCO/Title. She was on vacation, but when she returned assured me that it had gone out in the mail (have an email stating so) on the 3rd of July. I waited 7 days - more than enough time for it to get here. I emailed her telling her that it had not arrived. No reply. I emailed her each day for the next 3 days. On June 17th she emailed me that my title had been sent out on June 17th. I waited and on the the 23rd, when I didn't get it, I called the Clovis Police Department, and the Fresno Sheriff's Department's Civil Division and reported what was going on. Then I called my attorney. I sent a courstesy message to Carrie telling her who I had contacted and that if I didn't receive my title by the next day I was going to start civil actions against her and CMS - I had my title the next day.

I would warn every one - you might save money - but be ready for a fight to get your paper work. Pay a little more and have a good relationship with your seller.
