Of Sandy Springs DFG Holdings LLC Locker Break-In At Gold's Gym

April 22 - My husband and I did our routine work out at Gold's Gym that evening.
We had just finished taking yet another group ride class we most enjoyed and it all changed when my husband discovered that someone cut off his lock on his locker at this gym.

No sooner I stepped out of the ladies locker room, I saw my husband running towards the front desk area to tell one of the staff members about his stuff being stolen. I was quite stunned that something like this would happen seems how we were members of this gym for a year before all this occurred.

My husband discovered that the thieves took his cell phone, wallet, and car keys. He immediately phoned the police to file a report when another gentleman came out also saying that his belongings were stolen too!

There was one staff member that said he didn't see any suspicious activity. He just appeared as though he didn't know what much else to say. But I was quite upset wondering why there wasn't enough security measures being taken in a place like a gym.

Because my husband's car keys were taken for his car, I used my car to get home quickly in order to call one of the credit card companies to report a stolen card. I also took precaution by having my parents arrive there before I did seems how I was wondering if those thieves would try locating our home with them having my husband's driver license.

My husband unfortunately had to have his car towed home and later he also made some calls to our bank to make sure his check card would not be of use for those thieves.

The thieves did manage to spend over $1,000 on one of our credit cards before I had the chance to report it and have it cancelled. This happened within 2 hours.

The next day we took off from work due to all this mess in order to get things squared away ASAP.

When my husband called the gym in order to find out if there was a way we could go against their insurance company for this theft situation, the staff member said she would let the owner know about it. We have yet to hear from the owner.

Gold Gym's billing company also was not willing to waiver the 30 day fee upon sending a request to cancel membership with them although my husband told them our reason for leaving this gym.

I just think after all this that Gold's Gym should compensate something for what we went through especially since my husband put a padlock on his locker to protect his personal belongings.
