Alpha Products International - X-tremescooters Claims of "No Hassle Return Policy" a Bald-Faced Lie

Sports

The X-treme 560 scooter arrived missing parts, flat tires, no hinges for the trunk, under-powered, the kickstand will not hold the bike up on a flat surface because it's not welded on straight, and with the rear fender frame welded on crooked enough to point a good 30 degrees off center.

When I contacted Alpha Products, I got a phone menu that led to Warranty Service - which has no voice mail, and no one picks up.instead, you talk to the woman who picks up the main number, and she leaves a message with "Shawn" - who calls you later with his Caller ID blinded so you can't get his number. You will then find that 'Shawn" has a bad attitude. Flat tires? Not covered. That's your problem. Missing parts? They'll agree to ship replacements - if, and only if, you take a digital picture of the missing stuff! Bad motor? Same thing. You have to take a picture of the motor being bad, apparently.

Now - this is all amid snide implications that you are not telling the truth in the first place. AND a requirement that you open a service ticket online. You are then warned each time you call that if you add anything or leave further information, your ticket goes to the bottom of the stack. I opened the ticket, took the pictures, Sent them to x-tremescooters.com. No response.

When I called, got the usual bottom-of-the-stack warning, but 'Shawn' called me back to say that my pictures weren't good enough - even at 7.2 megapixels. And by the way, who was I to decide that the body welds were bad? He snidely suggested that until a welder looked at it, I wasn't qualified. Unfortunately for him, I HAD the thing looked at by an expert and said so. However, that weld is inside the frame where you can run your hand, but no way to get a camera in there. So I objected. So "Shawn" proceeded to rip me up one side and down the other, and claimed he hadn't received the ticket - which is pretty funny, because the pictures he claimed weren't good enough were attached to it! By this time, he was yelling at me. I was done. The credit card company is reversing the charges. If they want the thing back, they can pick it up in Georgia. That's MY 'No-Hassle Return Policy'.

Oh - and the claims that this model is foldable? Don't you believe it! You can unbolt the fork from the handlebars and let them dangle a bit, leaving the wiring exposed - but it does NOT fold. Another false claim. Don't bother with any other sources, either. All are drop-shipped by this same company.
