Ripoff, took 15,000.00 for a pool and only dug the hole, put up walls and poured a crappy concrete footer, will not call back after over 2 months, had to get someone else to finish the pool, will not answer his cell phone

with owner Greg Bucknowski in October to build us an inground swimming pool for 18,000.00. We wrote him the first check on 10-29 for $6920.00 he dug the hole, then he came back for another check on 10-30 $5190.00 he set the walls up, he came back and poured the concrete footers and asked for $2943.19 on 12-09 and he would be back that week to finish the pool and we could settle up the remainder which was about $3000.00. He called sweveral times in the next few weeks saying he would be out that week to finish, he never showed up and he quit calling. He never came back. We tried to call him for two months and he never called back. I looked him up on the better business bureau and saw he had 41 complaints (he only had one when we signed the contract) we knew he had no intentions of finishing our pool. We had to hire someone else to finish at an additional cost to us. We had no pumps, plumbing or any supplies that we had paid for. We have left him a message since requesting $9000.00 refund for work and supplies not done. We still have not heard from him. We have been able to locate two other people that he has done this to. We are in the process of composing a letter to our district attorney and a letter to the building permits office to seek help in this matter.
