First off to keep me as a memeber due to the exceptionally late opening of the Bellevue, WA facility I was offered hour long free personal training sessions till it did open. I was told that I was also getting a special "presale" rate on general membership that would NOT be available once the club actually opened. Once the club opened though I found out through people at my work who went there that this so called special rate was available to anyone who came in to sign up!

Also, once I signed up for paid sessions the time became only 1/2 hour. It did not state this on the rate sheet nor was that communicated to me upon signing the agreement. Nice bait and switch tactic LA Fitness.
Furthermore, I was not informed that the charge for the personal training would appear on my bill as some strange name and not LA Fitness. Therefore, I didn't know what the charge was for when it appeared on my card, and so I had it put on hold. Because I pay over $200 a month for training this one held charge caused LAfitness to put a hold on my training account. Did they feel the need to inform me though? Absolutely not! When I asked client services why I was not informed about a change in my account status I got 3 different answers.in addition one rep named Jessica gave me a very seriously snotty attitude. Blaming me for starting this situation to begin with. When I asked to speak to a manager. There was conviently only one who was on the phone and therefore could not speak to me. When I ask that the manager instead of Jessica call me back her response was "I will put in a request."

Mary who I talked to was very nice, but did not follow through with fixing my account status as promised. I even went as far as having a conference call with her and my credit card company. She recommended this and promised that things should be fixed by the end of the day. When I called back the next day things were still messed up. Plus I was told that what I did on the phone with Mary was a waist of my time because CS reps cannot fix accounts this way. Only some mysterious offsite person in accounting can.

It is too bad because the local staff at this club is general very nice, accomidating and helpful. The corporate office has a huge task of training and communication to do!

I will not renew with this club no matter how nice the facility is. It is not worth the stress!!! They don't deserve my money and hard pressed time. My trainer told me others are having the same problem as well now!
