Safari Moving And Storage
No show for moving appointment on a sunday, and no way to contact anyone over a weekend moving ripoff

After interviewing several moving compnaies for an in town move, we decide on Safari, based mostly on the attentivness and attitude of "David", the sales contact. Our move was scheduled on a sunday, the day after we came back from our honeymoon. Three times we confirmed the date and time wit Safari before leaving on our trip.

Well, the day of the move, Safari never showed up. My first call to their office went to voicemail, where I left a message asking them where they were, and to call me as soon as they picked up the message. Later calls were met with a recorded message saying the mailbox was full, and to call again later.

Since we had to be out of the old house by 5pm the next day, we rented a truck and moved ourselves all day sunday and monday, forcing me to take an unpaid day off.

After reaching a live boday on the phone at Safari monday, I was referred to a gentleman named "Chai", who insisted our move date was 2 weeks later. He was rude and unapologetic, and offered NOTHING to either help us move that day, or to make things right. Remember, we confirmed the date with Safari 3 times prior to the move. Oh, and yes, we had made a $100 deposit (by credit card, which Safari never put thru as a transaction).

Conclusion: Safari is an unreputable company, that, I believe, has very few actual trucks. From other complaints I have since read about Safari, I am assuming they got a more lucrative job for that day, and blew us off. I warn any and everybody to stay away from this disreputable, dishonest, and unreliable company.
