I purchased a web submission package deal from Web.com after being contacted and solicited to by the company. Apparently, the company gets reports on all new registered domain entities. The caller, Sheila Craig uses a high energy pitch about what they can and will do to get my internet business noticed. She also uses the craftiness and told me how wonderful my product is and that she was interested in buying my product. She spend even more time talking about how she introduce my product to her family and friends that are swimmers and help me to market the product. Then she goes back to her sells pitch and goes on about how they will get me listed in major directories and listed several other benefits to signing on with them for 76.00 dollars per month. I had to cut the conversation short but when I spoke to her later in the day she put me in touch with someone else in their company that was to explain their package in more detail. This lady was not nearly as demonstrative in her explanation of what they (Web.com) could do. She only spoke of that they would submit my website to 150 search engine sites. That's it.

This was the first flag - the difference in their conversations about what the do for new businesses. Secondly, this next lady said I would get an introduction or welcome aboard email and I could read over the material and would have some election options. Well, I never got an email from them even to this day. I called and emailed Sheila back and could not get her. She sent me a smug short email which said "you will get the material". Well apparently not because i still don't have anything from them at all. Thirdly, I went to BBB.org and found out that they (web.com) have had over 289 complaints filed in the last 12 months and the complaints are still coming in. Today it went up to 290. It must be political or BBB is looking over the fact that Web.com uses over 20 AKA as to why they gave them a A rating. There is no way I would have accepted any thing from this company no matter what rating BBB gives them with 290 complaints this year alone and under just the Web.com product. If you read the history of this company according to the internet and they have had someone with one of their AKA's sent to prison for fraud. So, I fell for this company that has its brand all over this Ripoff site and apparently they are ripping people off all over the world still. I would suppose most of their customers do not live in Florida so they know that they don't have to worry. Beside BBB has no enforcement authority. All I can say to anyone looking for website submission service do not use Web.com.

Lastly, whenever a website is newly registered you will get advertisements from web engine companies. I got several without paying for anything. Since purchasing their (web.com) package I have received one (1) additional offer from any web engine companies at all.
