I was denied a checking account because the chex system has a bill stating I owe a bank. The bank account has been settled over 3 years. I called Chex Systems to get it cleared. They didn't care if I had settled the debt or not. The customer Service person advised it didn't matter if I paid the bill or not. I would have to pay a "fee" $189 to to get this information removed. Being double charged for the same bill. This is highway robbery.
