Aldo Metrotown - Shipping Fiasco

I saw a pair of shoes at the Metrotown Aldo in Burnaby and wanted to get them for a friend but the only pair they had left was the display shoe, which was dirty and unpresentable as a gift. I asked the salesperson to ship in one to an Aldo closer to where I lived, emphasizing that I wanted a new pair and she said it was no problem. I paid for the shoes and went home. 2 weeks later, TWO WEEKS I EMPHASIZE, the shoe comes into the store and low and behold, it's the SAME PAIR I paid for at Metrotown!!! Ridiculous! If I wanted that pair, I would've taken it the day I paid for it. Not to mention, Aldo is wasting it's own money by incurring shipping fees that were completely unnecessary. Things get worse. So apparently the only place that has another pair of the same shoes is in another province and they don't know how long it'll take for that to come, or if it will be new. They apologized at the store that I picked up the shoes from but did nothing else to try to solve my problem. I've been a customer at Aldo for the last decade, but I promise you this - after this shenanigan, i'm not coming back.
