Eva claunch worked hard never got paid

On August 4 I answered an ad on Craigslist. After reviewing the work needed I was very qualified and I have been out of work since December so I started immediately working for Eva Claunch; ie cutting lawns, rekeying homes, putting on lock boxes and than boarding up homes due to severe weather conditions. I understood that it could take up to 30 days to recieve first payment but she assured me the checks for boarding up the homes were being sent out Septemebr 15. I contacted Eva as the work was also slowing down to find out where payments were NOTHING no return e-mails no phone calls... How can one do this to another hard working human being?
