John Stevens Unpaid wages. False promises. Bad business practices. Do not work for this guy or any type of business with him!

I worked for this guy named John Stevens, American Veteran's Security out of Beaverton, Oregon. I worked the metropolitan area of Portland, OR for approximately 8 to 9 months. While I was working there, he always told me "I'm a man of character, man of my word, your name is everything."

Everything seemed legitimate while I was a contractor there. The company holds 10% of your earnings into a hold back fund that is supposed to be paid a year after you leave. After being gone 17 months I made a phone call to the office requesting my hold back fund. After a month and a half of a run around I kept calling back. They finally told me the hold back funding was gone. The hold back fund is for accounts that might cancel within 1 year of installation. They advised me of no charge backs when I first called. However, every week that went on they said there was another charge back but they never showed proof.

Now they are advising me that I am responsible for the entire funding amount, and not the amount that I had been paid. Mr. Stevens never answers his calls, nor returns his phone calls. I advise you to NOT work for this company; they give you false hope, and never count on any hold back as a current or former employee. As customers, do your research in other companies before doing business with this company.
