"Brad" Sr. Account Manager ID# 6210 vague, misleading, doesn't accurately explain what you're buying, refuses to cancel for bogus reasons, THIS IS A SCAM!

Shops, Products, Services

So basically, you shop at Walmart enough and eventually you'll get a text message saying you've won a $250 Walmart gift voucher, call this number to redeem. So you call them up and they say "Oh, all you have to do is give us a bit of information and we'll send that out to you and when you receive it you call another number to activate it and its good at all these retailers and gas stations and such, yadda yadda."

So what's the catch? Supposedly you agree to set up a payment plan to get 4 magazines of your choosing each month and the operator will talk fast enough to make you think it's for 3 months but no, IT'S 30! Then you'll be told that your account gets charged a few days later and they'll get those right out to you. Well your account will get charged by the second day and then by the 4th or 5th day you'll get a letter saying that they'll take this money out every month for 30 months but that you must allow 60 to 120 damned days to get your new service started. So you're paying $35 a month immediately, yet you wont see a magazine in the mail for as many as 4 months?! Yeah right! And if you're like me and ask is this reward for signing up like a gift card? The answer will be: "uh, erm, yeah."

So if you are under the assumption, like I'm sure most are, that you'll be able to take this voucher around town to all these places you "normally shop at, " it's just not true. You wont find out until you've already agreed and you receive your letter that you will actually spend the next 5 years saving your receipts to mail to them on a monthly basis (in $100 increments or more) in the hopes of being "redeemed" with $25 gift cards. Had this ridiculousness been adquately explained in the initial call back, I NEVER WOULD HAVE AGREED!

What truly made me livid enough to write this report is that when I immediately called these people back and explained that I had not been properly made aware of the true nature of the redemption and wanted to simply get my initial payment back and cancel, Brad, the supposed Senior Account Manager, simply refused! The ONLY reason this con-artist could give was that the magazines of my choosing had already been ordered. That is the lamest, worst excuse any business could give, and any "discount" they're willing to offer would still end in them taking your money for something you don't want. And that my friends, is nothing but a SCAM.
