Beware fraudulent realtor! Withold complete deposit for more than a year without notification, and only returned a portion!

On May 1st my ex roomate and I rented an apartment for which Mr. Jorge Lluch was the realtor, and introduced himself as the main contact. We left the apartmaent a year ago and up to this date, August 9th we have not received the deposit amount totalling $1,400; even though we have been calling and messaging Realtor Jorge Lluch. After numerous phone calls, on June 26th we sent him a letter requesting to return the deposit. A few days ago we received a response letter from Jorge falsly stating that we barely tried to contact him and that there were some deductions ($500) applied to the deposit. We never received any notification of deductions for cleaning and repairs on the apartment!!! Even though he had our phone numbers and Katina's home address. On the day we left the apartment and returned the keys to Mr. Lluch, he clearly said that there was no need for inspection as the apartment, including furniture and appliances, was

In good condition. He also said that he was going to send us the deposit check three weeks later. From that moment on, we have been calling Jorge Lluch and have only received excuses to delay the deposit return payment, and now he is only willing to return $900 holding $500 for repairswe were not even notified had to be done!!! I think this realtor is so fraudulent and completely unprofessional!!!
