Took Returns, NO REFUND - "Financial Difficulties" - dress and shoes

I purchased a 4 piece item from Chadwicks on June 16, and returned it on July 14. (I was away from June 21 - July 6; the item arrived while I was gone). I was well within the 60 day return period.

I called them on July 26th about the return, and was told they were backed up 6 -8 weeks on returns. I called back September 6 and was told a credit had been posted to my account on August 26. AS of September 27, there was no credit appearing.

I called September 27, and was told they are "undergoing financial difficulties" and that someone would call me within 45 - 60 days. I asked about the credit to my account and was told it was never posted. I was lied to, and my money was taken and not refunded to me - even though their website and catalogs promise refunds if not satisfied and items are returned within 60 days.

I suggest the folks doing the "financial restructuring" assume they will have very few of their current "customers" (more like "chumps") when they finally get around to deciding about their newly restructured business.
