Buyer beware!

A few short months ago, I purchased a refrigerator along with other appliances. Just like many of the posted reviews, I was very pleased with the purchase process. The problems started when the very expensive refrigerator broke after only having it a short time. The manager at the North Wales, Pa location was very quick to say, "what do you want me to do about it, it's on you after 30 days". He never offered to assist in ANY fashion and was outright rude in the manner he spoke to me... He made no attempt to disguise the annoyance of being bothered with a problem. Outraged at the deplorable handling of my crisis, I contacted the corporate office hoping to solve the situation. I quickly learned they cared even less after being told, " it is not H H GREGG's problem after 30 days, deal with the manufacturer". This came from the assistant to the president of the company. I suppose that is why they carry a C - rating with the better business bureau with over 1200 complaints verses their competitors, Best Buy, Lowes, A ratings. If they all sell the same product, for the same price why shop at a store that, in my opinion, is only there for the money, not the customer as evident in the exploding number of complaints filed against them. With the state of the economy, I believe they need to be rethink their customer service policies and deal with each customers needs on an individual basis rather than a get lost after 30 day mentality. If they are not willing to take a loss as a large corporation, what makes them think we, as struggling consumers will?
