Ripoff

I just received a credit report and it had Fingerhut on it from a previous address and a shipment shipped to an address in which i did not live at the time. I then received a phone call from a repersentive asking me to send payment in full.

When I asked her to send me what was ordered, when it was ordered and who signed it, she informed me that she could not because they (her company) had taken over fingerhut and no longer have the paper files on the account only an amount owed in the computer.

I then explained what had happened and she blantly told me that she did not care she only wanted the payment in full, and cant help me in any other way. I let her know without any information on this so called account i will not pay a dime and she told me "that I will pay on way or the other". What is wrong with this company?
