Ripoff to Employees Suffering as well

Let me just start of by saying that I was employed at Kaufmans Wedding World. We are also experiencing the same situations as customers are. The employees work long, hard, and headaching hours to find answers to "Where is my dress" and "When will my dress be in?" We have no contact with corporate headquaters nor the owners - Margaret, Harry, and Ira Kaufman.

We were surprised to be informed of a possible closing of the Kaufman stores. We were told to put a sign on the doors that read that Kaufman's Wedding World is temporary closed. We had to idea what was going on. We were told we were closing.

We haven't even been payed for the three weeks. The kind and loving people that we are volunteered to go to the Wedding World store and deliever dresses to the brides and bridemaids that already have paid in full and dresses were in stock.

WE WERE NOT EVEN PAID FOR THIS. We did this out of the love of our hearts for the brides that we made lasting friendships with. I enjoyed helping brides pick out their dream gowns and all the BS that came with the job, has finally game to a close. I won't be stepping into the doors of that store again.

I refuse to be walked on and not treated as a loyal employee. I've gave this company a lot of my personal time and I didn't even recieve a phone call from the Kaufmans. We were only told we were closing.

What about our paychecks? They are supposably on their way. I think Kaufmans dug a big hole for themselves and I would be upmost embarassed about my company and the way we allowed the company to operate. They lost some very loyal, kind-hearted, dependable people due to their stupidness.

They claim that they are re-organizing the compnay but all the customer care phone lines, stores lines, and fax lines are disconnected due to the customers request. The Kaufmans made this mess, and they can't live up to the responsibilities. Hopefully they get their act together maybe by spending some time in jail for fraud and conspiracy.

They owe thousands of dollars to employees, vendors, and their customers. It's sad to see the stores close but with the friendships I have made with the different girls at the other locations are longlasting. The Kaufmans will not reply to any employee phone calls questioning what we are supposed to do. Nothing. No word.

They have no repect considering I have a family to feed, and bills to pay. Do they not understand that I am a single mother raising two children. They don't care because they are selfish and greedy. I would be ashamed of myself.

I hope that everything works out with all the girls gowns they are waiting for. All the lines are disconnected so good luck on trying to redeem your merchandise by contacting the Kaufmans. Ira Kaufman (the son) cell phone is listed on this site. If you still haven't recieved your gown, I would give that number a call and give him a rude awakening. Good Luck Girls
