Had to beg to get paid

When contacted by Melissa (always email) this seemed like an easy job to make a little cash. Brian did call me and explained all the ends and outs of it. Making it seem really legit and also told me he had a lot of meter readers doing several complexes making tons of money. He explained that this was new territory to them (New Jersey) so this was a test.

No one really explained the meter reading process, or how to explain to people. They sent me out without a badge because THEY REALLY NEEDED THIS READING. Some old lady almost called the cops on me when I entered her property. So eventually I got the badge (which looked horrible). I submitted the readings and was told it would be a month before I got paid! Wait a month!!! No one told me that! A month to make $30???

After complaining and telling them I wouldn't read next months meters, they said they sent me a check. EIGHT days later I still had not gotten the check. Again I told them no money no readings. I told them to send it to my via paypal, which they did.

I did another reading, same thing. Only this time the check they mailed me weeks ago, finally arrived and they said we were now caught up... One more month of readings, and no money. They threatened me with a lawsuit because I told them I would not read until I got my money. I told them I was done with them. And again they threatened a lawsuit if i did not overnight their reader back to them. I told Melissa she'd get it when she got it, just like my check.

The premise of this company is great. I think Brian might actually have a clue, it's the ladies in the office which are causing problems. All their payments should be made through Paypal so they don't get lost in the mail. It's a shame that people have to beg for their money. It's not a lot of money. But to us that need it (why else would we be doing this?) we need our money asap.

This company should go out of business for it's terrible practices.
