They charged me for unlock codes to my cell phone when my service provider offers them for free!

There are many websites on the Internet that falsely advertise offering unlock codes for your cell phones at a low price. Http://unlockathome.com is not one of them. They provide legitimate unlock codes to cell phones and offer other services as well. I'm writing this report, however, because I feel unlockathome.com scammed me. I paid them money for unlock codes to my phone not being informed beforehand that the codes might be available for free by T-Mobile.

I had shared emails with a man named Steven @ unlockathome.com regarding my feeling ripped-off. Steven hadn't offered me a refund after I complained that T-Mobile offered the codes for free. At least Steven decided to create a post in his website knowlegebase regarding the subject after I threatened to leave negative reviews. I had felt the information should have been posted instead right on his home page to his website since it applies to many people under service contracts that want their unlock codes to their phones! Steven refused to post the info on his home page so I decided to write this report and submit the information to usacomplaints.com

Any information on how to truly obtain unlock codes for free from your cell phone service provider should be out in the open posted all over the Internet! No one should be getting ripped-off paying money when the codes can often be obtained for free! If you have a cell phone service contract in place and want the unlock codes to your cell phone - call your service provider and see about requesting them! Unlockathome.com took two days and $8 dollars to provide me with the unlock codes to my phone. T-Mobile had given me the same codes for free and it only took them one day.
