Company Very Shady - Do Not Deal With!

My daughter ordered a "special order" dress, which required her measurements... Measurements were sent, but no updates (completion date, send date) were forwarded to us. We contacted them about two weeks into the order to inquire, but no reply was sent. As the date for her prom drew closer (we ordered the dress over a month before prom date, but were now down to two weeks left) we contacted tbdress.

They replied with "your measurements don't sound logical, you need to resubmit sizes." We knew at this point that there was no way; after three weeks of waiting, that the dress woul dbe doen in time, so we told them to just cancel the order and complete a refund. FIVE times they replied with the same words as above (send measurements and we will begin dress), but stated they could only refund a very small amount if we insisted on a refund, because of the material they'd wasted to make the dress... Make the dress? I thought they were charging for alterations? That's what they had stated on the original bill anyway. As of now, we have heard nothing further from them, and after seven emails I've decided just to file a dispute with my bank. Do not order from this site - buyer beware!
