Cbrc fraudulent ficticious business scamming $175 for llc

My business partner and I were sent some information from the CALIFORNIA BUSINESS RENEWAL CENTER. It appeared a very official document and had our proper identification, information and tax ID for our LLC included. Since we were expecting documents to arrive from the State Franchise Tax Board for our LLC, we sent them a check for our LLC for $175. I called the Franchise Tax Board and Secretary of State and they said to notify my bank as soon as possible as THIS IS A SCAM!!! There was never a $175 renewal fee for our LLC. I am trying to locate this fraudulent company and get our money back.
