Ripoff charged double than what quoted delivered two weeks late broke and missing items terrible customer service couldn't get a hold of anyone

This company quoted us on July 21st for moving us from San Francisco, Ca to Illinois at 3000 lbs $1,620 and required a $300 deposit so that would've left us a balance of $1,447.

They arrived late on July 26th and took almost 6 hrs to load up goods that were already boxed up by us.
They charges us $325 for packing materials extra, which we were never told about and when they were finished said our things looked to be more like 4000 lbs and would be $2600.

They then said our things would be delivered right away.
A week goes by and we call numerous times trying to get a hold of someone to find out where our things are at and they said as of August 1st nothing had left San Francisco yet.

At this time also the customer service woman said our things were looking to be more like 5000lbs and would be around $3200.

Another week goes by and we call numerous times again to find out where are things are at no one answers or returns our calls.

Finally August 10th a gentleman from a totally different company calls us to tell us he is delivering our things the next day August 11th at 9;00 am and the cost is $3200!!

We didn't hear anything about this delivery from AY Transport or we were never told that a different company would be handling our goods.

The paperwork of this company is hard to read and follow and didn't forms read didn't things.

They also quoted a free month storage on the original sheet we signed and they said no that is not true.
We asked if our things could be held one more day while we get the $ and they said they would charge us $500 more and that they would have to take legal action after that.

We got the $ together as best we could as were not expecting double the price we were quoted but didn't want to lose our things.

They broke a few items, lost some items (which we are still waiting to hear back from them on where they are at) and delivered some items that didn't even belong to us.

This company is a total scam and they know they have people things and as your things are being held you are going to pay whatever to get them back.
